YardLoadout is a place to plan a complete lawn-care setup instead of piecing one together from scattered reviews and half-remembered product names. Pick your gear, see the running cost, save the list, and share it — while a community of other yard owners rates what's actually worth buying.
It's built around one idea: a "loadout" — a complete, purpose-built list of gear for a goal, whether that's a first-lawn starter kit, a full annual program, or a weed-and-pest cleanup — is more useful than a single product review.

Every product category is community-ranked: members get a small vote budget per category, so the top picks reflect what real yard owners actually rate highly, not just what's listed first.
💬 Gear Talk
A discussion board for lawn-care questions, product comparisons, and troubleshooting — organized by category, with threads you can attach a product or loadout to.
🌻 Yard Showcase
A gallery for members to show off their actual results — striping, restorations, comeback stories, and every proud 'before and after.' Photos are reviewed before they go live.
🏷️ Deals & Events
A running board of sales events and seasonal promotions from major retailers and lawn-care brands, so you know when to actually pull the trigger on new gear.
🏆 Points, Levels & the Leaderboard
Contributing — sharing a loadout others use, getting a suggestion approved, posting in Gear Talk, getting a Showcase photo published — earns points and levels you up, with trophies along the way. The leaderboard tracks the community's top contributors and most popular loadouts.
🎨 Profiles, Avatars & Shoutouts
Every member gets a profile with a bio, a point history, and a spot to pick one of 500 yard-themed avatar icons. Other members can send a shoutout — a star rating plus a fixed emoji reaction — as a quick, no-typing way to say thanks or give a nod.
💡 Suggest Gear
Don't see a product that should be in a category? Suggest it — approved suggestions go live for everyone and earn the suggester points.
Who's behind it
YardLoadout is an independent, small-scale project — not affiliated with any tool or product manufacturer. Product rankings come from member votes, not sponsorship. Staff-curated loadouts and Yard Showcase entries from the site itself are labeled "YardLoadout Staff" rather than a personal account.
